Long-distance movers for Ontario & beyond

Moving from the GTA to Ottawa, Montreal, Windsor — or anywhere across Canada? Kinetic Movers runs dedicated long-distance routes with flat-rate quotes, confirmed delivery windows, and full packing service. One crew, one truck, one fixed price.

Quote for your long-distance move

Fixed price agreed before move day.

Long-distance moving is a different job from a local move — and it should be priced like one. Instead of an hourly rate that rewards slow work on a 500 km haul, every Kinetic long-distance move runs on a flat-rate quote: one fixed price agreed before move day, based on your inventory and the route. The price we quote is the price you pay, whether the 401 is clear or crawling.

How your flat-rate quote works

Start with the quote form or a call. We take a detailed inventory — rooms, big pieces, anything fragile or awkward — by virtual video survey or phone walkthrough. Within one business day you get a fixed, itemized quote: transport, crew, blanket-wrap protection, and any packing you add. No weight-station surprises, no “long-carry fees” invented on delivery day.

One truck, one crew, door to door

Your belongings stay on the same truck from pickup to delivery — no warehousing, no transfers between carriers, no mystery handling in the middle. Our regular dedicated routes run from the GTA to Ottawa, Montreal, and Windsor, and we run custom long-distance moves anywhere else in Ontario and Canada.

  • Flat-rate quotes — the price is fixed before move day
  • Dedicated truck: your goods never transfer between carriers
  • Confirmed delivery windows, not vague “3–10 business day” ranges
  • Fully insured crews with blanket-wrap protection as standard
  • Full or partial packing service for long hauls
  • Regular GTA→Ottawa, GTA→Montreal, and GTA→Windsor routes

Pricing, explained

Flat-rate vs. hourly for long-distance moves

On a local move, hourly pricing can make sense. On a 400+ km haul, it punishes you for traffic you can’t control. Here’s why we quote long-distance moves flat — and what goes into the number.

What your flat rate covers

  • Crew time for loading and unloading, both ends
  • Fuel, highway tolls, and truck for the full route
  • Blanket-wrap protection on every furniture piece
  • Basic disassembly and reassembly
  • A confirmed delivery window in writing

What changes the price

  • Total volume — rooms and inventory size
  • Distance of the route
  • Access: stairs, elevators, long carries at either end
  • Packing service, if you add it
  • Timing: month-end and summer dates book fastest
Timing

Delivery windows, not vague promises

The oldest trick in long-distance moving is the “3–10 business day” delivery spread. We don’t do that. When you book, you get a confirmed delivery window — typically 1–3 days depending on the route — in writing, before move day. You’ll know which day the truck is coming, so you can plan cleaners, key handovers, and your first night.

  • Delivery window confirmed at booking, in writing
  • Direct point-to-point transport — no warehouse transfers adding days
  • Crew lead’s direct contact for day-of updates
  • Arrival-day call when the truck is en route
Protection

Packed for 500 km, not 5

A box that survives a 20-minute drive across town can fall apart after eight hours on the 401. For long-distance moves we recommend — and offer — a higher packing standard: double-walled boxes, dish packs for kitchens, proper wrapping for art and mirrors, and furniture fully blanket-wrapped and secured so nothing shifts in transit. Add our packing & unpacking service for the whole home or just the breakables.

FAQ

Long-distance moving questions

How much does a long-distance move cost in Ontario?

It depends on volume and route — a 1-bedroom GTA-to-Ottawa move and a 4-bedroom GTA-to-Windsor move are very different jobs. That’s why we quote flat-rate from your inventory: send the quote form or book a virtual survey and you’ll have a fixed, itemized price within one business day.

How do you calculate a flat-rate quote?

From your inventory (rooms, large items, fragile pieces) and the route distance. The quote itemizes transport, crew, fuel and tolls, blanket-wrap protection, and any packing you add. Once you approve it, the price is locked — traffic, weather, and stairs don’t change it.

How far in advance should I book a long-distance move?

Four to six weeks is ideal, especially for summer and month-end dates. That said, our regular Ottawa, Montreal, and Windsor routes run often — call us even on short notice and we’ll tell you honestly what’s possible.

Will my belongings share a truck with someone else’s?

No. Your move gets a dedicated truck from pickup to delivery — your goods are never warehoused, transferred between carriers, or mixed with another shipment.

Do you offer packing for long-distance moves?

Yes. Our packing & unpacking service covers full-home packing, partial packing, or fragile-only packing with double-walled boxes and dish packs — the standard we recommend for 400 km+ hauls. You can also pack yourself; we’ll still blanket-wrap all furniture.
